Mapei Planitop Basecoat Repair Mortar

Planitop Basecoat is a high-performance, polymer-modified, Portland cement-based, premixed mortar for non-structural applications. Planitop Basecoat can be used as a base coat for installing mesh in exterior insulation and veneer systems (EIFS) or as a leveling coat over cement-based stucco prior to the application of an acrylic finish or waterproofing coating.

It can also be used as an adhesive for installing architectural foam forms, as well as expanded polystyrene or extruded polystyrene insulation panels. Planitop Basecoat is suitable for applications on concrete or masonry substrates, as well as on properly prepared wood installations. Planitop Basecoat complies with the appropriate sections of ASTM C926, “Standard Specification for Application of Portland Cement-Based Plaster.”
