Mapei Mapeguard UM Underlayment Membrane for Waterproofing and Vapor Pressure Equalization

Mapeguard UM is a lightweight, superior-performance waterproofing and vapor pressure equalization underlayment membrane that provides crack suppression and is suitable for use under ceramic tile and stone installations in residential and commercial applications. It is designed to perform over demanding substrates, such as young concrete and 19 mm (3/4") single-ply plywood subfloors with joists spaced up to 49 cm (19.2") on center. Mapeguard UM's unique, engineered, three-layer design absorbs lateral stresses from the substrate without transferring that force to the tile or stone, allowing for the maintenance of exceptional bond strength.
