Mapelastic CI is a premixed, fast-drying, liquid rubber crack isolation membrane for use under ceramic tile or stone in interior and exterior, residential and commercial environments. Mapelastic CI meets ANSI A118.12 and prevents the transfer of non-structural floor cracks up to 3 mm (1/8") in-plane through grout, ceramic tile, and stone. Once dry, in approximately 30 to 50 minutes, Mapelastic CI is ready to receive most MAPEI epoxy mortars or polymer-modified thin-set mortars.
